Here is my go at Klimts  Apple tree 17cm square acrylics on canvas, the wife likes it, that's a first.

    Super study of this painting Jeff -I'd love to hear what you picked up through studying it...what size is yours? 

    You have really captured the shimmering light and colour, and depth of field. Thumbs up!

    I think his was bigger than mine and in oils, no chance of imitating the brush strokes at this scale but I tried to use the same colours.

    Fun to do but think about scale if you want  to get into the detail I ended up just making blobes of colour.
