Applied Polyfilla to board and worked in gouache. Took my time over this up to 4-5 hours over a number of days. Ended up with tired eyes but enjoyed doing it.

    Well Sue a la Monet this looks AB FAB! The polyfilla texture is extremely effective at giving the impression of over flowing flowerbeds and a leafy canopy. Good contrast between the pale lavender and mauves and the darker greens and browns, with accents of brighter lighter green and blue. It sounds like the labour of love so I'm glad you enjoyed it and hope it didn't bring on a head ache. I'd love to know what you felt you learn about Monet's way of working. Has your board buckled?
