 NB We have a hazel tree and this is what I pulled out of our fuschia pot!

    great this Christine, like the roots and the red gives a great sense of being pulled from something living.

    Yes, I really like the roots. Jeff's right, it does look like it's just been pulled straight out.

    It had just been pulled out of a pot it didn't belong in, and - with an obvious hazel nut  - just so tempting!  Flowers next time.

    Although already poetic in colour and form and composition I feel like this painting is crying out for a haiku...are you up for the challenge Christine?
