Modelling paste & acrylics.  Textures I think are not in exact places.   I wasn’t sure if I should outline face in a darker shade.   Have drawn & left it in pencil.

This is a bright and joyous interpretation of the Monet painting (great choice Amina). It looks as if the rough texture has helped with the abstract/ impressionist style and help you not get too drawn into detail -although I notice with the face you could not resist! Monet has just hinted at eyes and that's it. The parasol is all sorts of tints mixed into the white -giving the impression of reflected light and shadows through a white fabric. In your painting there doesn't seem to be a handle being held for the parasol so yours reminds me more of a saints halo -which is also a nice interpretation!

Sorry meant to attach the reference!

  3. Thank you Alice
Oh gosh, I’ll put the parasol Handel and move her arm out of the pocket!   I started like that and then forgot.   Will improve textures on umbrella too and remove those lines.

Thank you so very much for the feedback Alice.   I don’t think this lady has a halo😇.
