Monet’s Lilies

I’ve done this on on board.   Poor Monet he worked hard and did many of his lilies paintings, all in different designs & lights.   I’ve tried to get his best. He used silver in his palette for his paintings but am not sure where it was applied so left it out.

Texturing it first made it difficult to paint on it as the acrylics often blotted out the texture beneath.   It’s been a lot of work but I’ve enjoyed it & learnt a lot doing this piece.

Beautifully captured, the colours really draw you in. The two people are great, I would love to hear their conversation, they are paying great attention to something! I especially like the use of colours in the water and the soft trees and sky.

Thank you so much Adrienne.  I feel I should work on it a bit more, as The white lilies need improving, the willow or wisteria needs more yellow and also its reflection.   I’m glad you liked the couple, I was pleased with them but forget her reflection in water.   I’m also not sure about the clump of pink on the far right.   Not sure how to improve that yet.    I’m sure Alice will give good advice, she’s always so helpful, bless her.
